Diving into our second International Women’s Day spotlight, we’re thrilled to showcase Aman Kaur, one of Xalient’s Customer Success Managers with over 15 years of experience in the IT/Telco industry.

How do you perceive the importance of gender diversity in the tech industry, and how does Xalient contribute to creating an inclusive work environment?
I’ve been working in IT/Telco industry for over 15 years and through these years I have seen a shift in gender diversity. Seeing females move to more technical/senior roles gives me a sense of high morale and job satisfaction. I feel gender diversity is crucial for any company in the tech industry looking to thrive and stay competitive. There is still a long way to go, talking about it today is a step in the right direction.
Xalient is an inclusive environment, celebrating festivals around the world, especially where our staff are based. Opportunities and roles are filled on the basis of talent. We have had the Xalient Board visit the IDAM team in Romania, and a trip planned for India to meet all the talented engineers. Our newly acquired businesses Grabowski (Amsterdam) and IP (USA) recently visited Leeds, which is all helping to create an inclusive work environment.
Can you share examples of initiatives or programs at Xalient that promote the professional development and advancement of women in the technology sector?
I speak with talented women at Xalient daily, engineers, account directors who are all flourishing at Xalient. I see women progress into senior roles, and have responsibility of driving strategic decisions. We have women engineers in Romania are upskilling on IDAM products (SailPoint). Our CEO Sherry Vaswani is the biggest example of Xalient promoting women in the technology sector, she is a source of inspiration seeing what has been created at Xalient every day.
In your role, how do you contribute to fostering a workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion?
Things such as acknowledging holidays of all cultures, if someone has done a good job, making sure people know about! With the growth seen at Xalient, its making new people feel welcome, and part of the Xalient family. Being fluent in Punjabi and Hindi, I speak to my colleagues from India in the language, which all promotes inclusion. It’s the small things that make a big difference!
