As your organisation migrates to the cloud, you’re facing increasing bandwidth demands from all quarters of the business. Zoom or Teams are the ‘must have’ corporate communication tools, Microsoft 365 is being rolled out, your critical SAP system is in the cloud, and all parts of your business want access to new cloud-based applications. All of these require the IT department to secure additional bandwidth, which comes with significant additional MPLS costs.
MPLS technology has served organizations well, until recently. MPLS contracts are carrier specific, inflexible, difficult to change and can be limited in their geographical scope. Adding new circuits can take several weeks or months and on-site engineers are needed to carry out installations. Today’s cloud-enabled organisations need reliable but also flexible and cloud-secure connectivity. Just adding extra bandwidth isn’t the answer.
