Our Approach

At Xalient we believe that our most important assets are our people. We focus around diversity, wellbeing, career development as well as helping to address the gender imbalance within the tech industry.

Our People

It may seem like a cliché, but here at Xalient people really are the lifeblood of our business. We focus on attracting, engaging, developing and retaining talented individuals, providing opportunities for career-long learning and development and providing safe workplaces within an inclusive culture that values diversity.

Our diverse and dedicated team of business consultants, technical experts, and service delivery professionals come together every day to achieve the same goal – exceeding our customers’ expectations.

Our employees’ backgrounds and experiences are as diverse as their personalities, but they all have one thing in common – their Xalient DNA.

These are the qualities and traits we ask of everyone at Xalient: we care passionately about our clients and the work we do; we challenge conventional thinking – and find innovative and pragmatic answers to the toughest client challenges; and we enjoy being at the forefront of our industry, so we are constantly learning, developing and bringing new service innovation to our clients.

Diversity & Inclusivity

Here at Xalient, we are keen to do our part in helping address the gender imbalance within the tech industry and encourage a diverse workforce.

According to the BCS’s Women in IT scorecard, just 17% of people working in the technology industry are women. Likewise, a report by Women in Technology which surveyed over 1,000 women working in the technology sector found “70% of women from both large organisations and SME’s alike reported a gender imbalance in their current workplace”.  Although significant steps have been undertaken to address the imbalance, it’s clear there is still continued work to be done.

At Xalient we are keen to play our part in addressing the current imbalance.

We are a women-owned business, certified by WBE, and an active promoter of women in business.

Today, we’re proud that 40% of our board are female, as are 33% of our management team – whereas only 5%* of leadership positions in the technology industry are held by women.

Almost 30% of our total workforce is female, compared to the national average of 23%* of women that make up the STEM workforce.

To maintain an inclusive workforce, one that brings diverse ideas to our business, Xalient engages in a program that specifically targets female professionals as well as those from minority groups, with new opportunities, and promotes family-friendly policies that support women returners and new entrants into the tech sector.

In the Community

We are strong believers in ‘giving back’ at Xalient and are dedicated to being a responsible contributing member of society, seeking to build strong relationships within the local communities in which we operate.

Our charities this year are Leeds Children’s Charity, Magic Children’s Charity in Romania and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and as a team, we drive a full programme of fundraising and support activities throughout the year to raise vital funds for these worthwhile causes.

Furthermore, we encourage each employee to take an additional day of paid leave per annum, in order to undertake activities related to social responsibility – whether that be fundraising, supporting a charitable cause or undertaking voluntary work.
